Colossal Records and Studio

19 02 2013

Mission Statement:

With today’s youth heavily influenced by music, we want the source to be that of a reliable one. We hold our artists to a level of respect that one may not generally hold at other labels. We pride ourselves in quality artists, sound, recording, and marketing strategies as well. Here at Colossal Records and Studio, our goal is to ensure that our clients are given the best and most creative experience that they cannot casually receive anywhere else. From our label artists, to our clients of our recording sessions we
vow to make sure that we put forth the most effort in the succession of both.

Vision Statement:

In a constantly progressing world the practices of traditional studios, and quality label service, treatment and marketing, though the norm, are becoming obsolete. We see ourselves as ahead of this wave of change. We create the most exciting atmosphere for creative and productive recording as well as artist advertisement. We see our clients and listeners as patients, in a sense. We are here to serve them, in times of need and or assistance. We want our clients to feel at home with our A&Rs and executives and
bring together a sense of “family”. Entertainment has become so saturated in today’s times, and we are here to continue that genuine effort of just plain good music. We do not display any acts of unoriginality within our label and that goes for everything from our artists, down to the exact music they make. We want to be looked at as the first, and most respectable labels to ever prevail as successfully as we do, Creating the most exciting atmosphere for creative and productive recording.

Sample Vision/Mission Statement

19 02 2013

The mission of the National Geographic Society is to inspire people to care about the planet. Throughout its 124-year history, it has encouraged conservation of natural resources and raised public awareness of the importance of natural places, the plants and wildlife that inhabit them, and the environmental problems that threaten them. The Society also encourages stewardship of the planet through research and exploration, and through education.

Founded in 1888, the National Geographic Society, is one of the world’s largest nonprofit scientific and educational organizations, has funded more than 10,000 scientific research, conservation and exploration projects around the globe. Past and current grantees include polar explorer Robert Peary; Hiram Bingham, excavator of the lost Inca city of Machu Picchu; anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey; mountain gorilla expert Dian Fossey; author and historian Stephen Ambrose; underwater explorer and discoverer of the sunken Titanic Robert Ballard; anthropologist Wade Davis; marine biologist Sylvia Earle; high-altitude archaeologist Johan Reinhard; and paleontologist Paul Sereno.

Through various media vehicles, including its official journal, National Geographic magazine, and other publications, its films, television programs, cable channel, radio, music, books, videos, maps and interactive media, the National Geographic Society reaches more than 400 million people a month. The Society’s unending commitment to integrity, accuracy and excellence has positioned “National Geographic” as a benchmark brand and a leader in publishing, photography, cartography, television, research and education.

I chose National Geographic because they have been inspiring people to become more environmentally conscious for over 100 years with the use of proficient writers as well as awe inspiring photography. They kept an overall optimistic tone with the use of a lot of positive words like Inspire, encouraged, Machu Picchu (I just wanted to say Machu Picchu) and integrity. They also throw in that they are nonprofit, which always helps.
